If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime this is what you are looking for. This is not a ministry for the faint of heart as conditions are rugged—sleeping in tents in a rural bush area, bathing using a bucket, outhouses and no electricity, phones or e-mail. Although the conditions are challenging, the rewards are abundant. These orphans with their tattered clothes and cheerful smiles will engrave a lasting image on your heart. Please prayerfully consider one of the following teams.

Adult Work team are part of our work with AIDS Orphans and Street Children in Africa. This can be a life changing experience for everyone involved. Adult teams go out from Florida during January, February, March, and April.

After their training at the Lord’s Boot Camp in Merritt Island, Florida, they will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight bound for Saskatoon,Saskatchewan, Canada. A 45-mile bus trip will take them to their destination, the Teen Missions camp on the edge of the South Saskatchewan River.

The Canadian office of Teen Missions is located nearby in the town of Outlook. Landscaping will be a major part of their project which may include: mulching footpaths, clearing brush, digging and grading ditches. They will have opportunities to share their faith individually as well as in local churches and nearby communities, using puppets, drama and music.

There may be an opportunity to be in a parade to raise awareness for the work of Teen Missions in Canada. Their housing will be in cabins with bunk beds. On sightseeing day, they may travel 20 miles south to see the Gardiner Dam, built in 1967, creating Lake Diefenbaker. Circumstances may allow you to enjoy some late night star gazing under the Living Sky.

In Outlook, They will be able to hike on the Trans Canada Trail across a 3⁄4 mile bridge and they may swim in the heated outdoor pool at a nearby park. The surrounding area supports much wildlife such as deer, coyotes, antelope and beavers.
